i have never been one to journal. i think that is why this is so hard for me to keep up on. i like facebook. i can write something in less than 500 characters and get it out there a.s.a.p.. but i was just reading an old friend's blog and he is doing it to remember things. i have a pretty good memory but maybe i won't always. i often ask my mom or dad if they remember something from my childhood and they rarely do. thank god my sister usually does. and then i just found out my great aunt has alzheimers. so that worries me. it's in my bloodline now. it sucks on so many levels.
so i am going to try and be better. i am going to do this every couple of days even if it is just to remember that charlotte and i had a great day today. it is in the mid 50's in november and we took the train to her ballet class. i ran into someone i know on the street. i know people think chicago is a big city but once you have lived here for 12 years and you have kids in school, and you work in the community, the big city becomes the small town just like anyplace else. and that makes me happy.
or maybe it is to remind myself of the day before when i was called to pick liam up from school. and when i got there he was doubled over in pain and crying. scary...turns out he needs to poop. oh well. glad it wasn't appendicitis.
that is what this is for now. just the little things.

the kids are adorable!! I blog too to remember stuff, I already forget stuff that happened last year :) I posted a comment on yoru friends blog and feel free to give her my contact info- if she has any questions about what to bring, or needs help in country, etc. just let her know she can holla at me!
