naps

the reason i have a hard time writing my blog is that i have, for the last 7 years, followed the mantra i learned in the early days of parenting. "sleep when the baby sleeps" does it matter that my baby is 3 1/2 years old? as long as i have a baby that sleeps i am going to take a nap. now it may only be a half hour but i try and get one everyday. i used to feel guilty because darren doesn't get a nap everyday. and then i realized that he sleeps in at least a half hour more than me most days. do i get more done when i work while charlotte naps? sure and sometimes that feels good. but i LOVE sleeping and i believe that is why my kids are such good sleepers, because darren and i are. so i had my half hour nap today in my new flannel sheets and now i am a more patient mom because of it. and i still wrote on my blog.
